How much does salon booking software really cost?

Put these four numbers side by side for each system.

  1. The monthly subscription. Price it for the people who need a diary, not just the starting plan.
  2. New-client fees. Find out which bookings attract commission. A marketplace introduction and a booking through your own link may be treated differently.
  3. Payment processing. Compare the fees for the payment methods and average deposits you use.
  4. Extras. Include extra texts, add-ons, equipment and VAT where applicable.

A marketplace may bring you valuable new clients. A direct booking system may cost less to run. The right choice depends on how people find your business and what you need next.

Some cost nothing a month. SumUp Bookings, Square Appointments, Goldie and YouBooked have free plans, each with limits on what’s included, and Book in Beautiful’s free plan adds a booking charge for the client instead. Each comparison says what the free plan leaves out.

How much does Covered Beauty cost?

Covered Beauty Solo is £9/month for one practitioner. Salon is £19/month for up to five people. Both include unlimited bookings, deposits through Stripe, consent forms and client records.

Stripe processing fees and optional extras are separate. See everything included in each plan.
