Hiya, I’m Dean, the founder of Covered Beauty. We’re a small UK company based in Whitehaven, Cumbria, and we make booking software for independent salons, clinics and tanning shops.
Plenty of booking apps take a cut when a client books, or charge you when a new client finds you. We don’t. It’s £9 a month if it’s just you, or £19 for up to five people, with unlimited bookings on both. Deposits go into your own Stripe account, and Stripe’s card fees apply.
Your clients stay yours. We won’t send them offers from other salons or sell your client list, and you can download your records from your dashboard whenever you like. It’s all written down on our promise page so you can hold us to it.

Two weeks free, on us.
Sign up with a link from a salon that already uses Covered Beauty and your first two weeks are free. No link? When you sign up, pick “A friend or another salon” and type their salon’s name as it shows on their booking page. If we find them, you get the two weeks too. Already with us? Share your link from your dashboard. When a salon you recommend has paid for two months, your next month is free: the price of a month on your plan, or on theirs if it costs less, taken off your next bill.

What happens after my free trial?
You don’t need a card to start. To carry on after your 7 free days, add a card before the trial ends and your chosen plan starts when it does: Solo is £9/month and Salon is £19/month. If you don’t add one, the trial simply ends and nothing is charged.
I’m on Fresha, Booksy or Treatwell. Can I bring my clients?
Yes. Export your client list from your old system and upload it in your dashboard. If it won’t go in, email it to hello@covered.technology and we’ll help you bring it over. Dean will help set up your treatments too.
Can I run it from my phone?
Yes. Your diary works in your phone’s browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Where does the deposit go?
Clients pay their deposit by card when they book, straight into your own Stripe account once you’ve connected it. You choose the deposit for each treatment. We take no commission, and Stripe’s card fees apply.
Do you take a cut of my bookings?
Covered Beauty charges no booking commission or new-client fee. Stripe’s own processing fees still apply to card payments.
Is Covered Beauty a good alternative to Fresha, Treatwell or Booksy?
It can be, if most of your clients already book with you directly. Fresha, Treatwell and Booksy each pair booking software with a marketplace where new clients can find you, and their plans and fees differ. Covered Beauty is booking software with no booking commission or new-client fee, at £9/month for one person or £19/month for up to five. Is it right for my kind of business?

Yes. Pick one of our 23 ready-made forms, then send a client a private link to fill in on their phone or hand them your tablet. You don’t need bookings, opening hours or treatments. Can I make the booking page my own?
Yes. Add your logo, photography and colours. The Salon plan also lets you use your own web address.
Do you have a referral scheme?
Yes. A salon that signs up with another salon’s link gets its first two weeks free. Once it has paid for two months, the salon that recommended it gets a free month: the price of a month on your plan, or on theirs if it costs less, taken off your next bill.
Will you market to my clients?
No. Covered Beauty’s promise is that your clients stay yours. It does not market other salons to your client list.
